After a fiery run in the first arena of The Change, Aura finds herself losing two of her closest companions going into the second arena. The game is also changed with the introduction of the four alumni players that add a fresh energy into the groups while stirring up problems with some of the groups. During her adventure out at sea, and deep within it, Aura and her team, is challenged to survive against the elements while working with another root race that isn't particularly fond of them. In order to find a way out of the arena, Aura's team, along another team, are forced to venture into unknown Mara Island that lies beyond the arena and the city of Regnum. After finally being freed from the constraints of Regnum and The Change, the contestants are faced with the decision of whether or not they should ever return. Alliances are made, trust is broken, secrets are exposed, new magic is learned, and reality is questioned, all while the impossible is being tested.
