I almost didn't publish the poems in this volume. In the first place, the poems are so personal, all about my own cancer experience, that I thought no one would be interested. Secondly, the book contains almost 100 poems about cancer and death; I thoughy they might be too depressing for anyone to spend an otherwise pleasant evening reading. But then I concluded that perhaps people who are going through the same diagnosis and treatment might see a little bit of themselves in my journey--Page 3.
