The Inner Man Speaks Through My Poetry

Dealing with the inner man can be hard. We often find ourselves living out of fear, guilt, and the reality of not being good enough, but the question is, "Good enough for who?" The Inner Man Speaks Through My Poetry is about the different struggles that the author, Verona Prayer, encountered as she wrestled with her inner man. The inner man that always told her she would be a failure. The inner man that caused rejection of herself to create a rejected place from everyone around her. Verona was in a place where if she felt like she couldn't make it, she thought everyone else felt the same way. The Inner Man Speaks Through My Poetry also deals with the different areas we face in everyday life. Through every poem God ensures us that although we may see defeat, God sees His best creation. A vast majority of these poems were spoken in the most lonely hours of 3AM-6AM when nobody was awake but Verona and God. It was then that God began showing her that He had to break her inner man, and remake her into the woman He was calling for. These poems are stories of her life, and the things she struggled with throughout her life. May each poem speak to you and allow you to come to the knowledge of the inner man that's inside so God can restore and renew the inner you.
