The Warsaw Ballroom

There was a unique place and time in Miami Beach where a nexus of characters would celebrate the reality of a dream. An ex-marine flamenco dancer convoked his gogo boys and drag queens in a choreography of deep tribal base and laser light. The White Rabbit motivates a bar side show of a two-foot batman dancing on the lap of an obese woman supported by a rotating penis sculpture. In the center ring, Michael and his friends dance to the rhythm of a fetal heart, their brains loaded with serotonin and dopamine. Throughout this anniversary night, DJ Padilla and the Queen of South Beach, Jacqueline, watch over the Warsaw revelers. This is their story.
