They won their freedom by cleverly exploiting weaknesses in the game system itself. They led a demi-raid, competed in an arena run by flamboyant undead and added new content to the game. Everything didn't go their way. Lysander and Ember are forcefully separated in a dungeon and they have to deal with numerous hostile players. As the player death toll increases, they push at the edges of the game and force an important person out of hiding. Later, when many players die in a raid, they go all-in to save everyone.
