God Don't Like Ugly...And Is Not Too Fond of Pretty Either: Poems and Prose

The latest work by author, educator, and self-proclaimed "mompreneur" Kecia Brown McManus creates what she calls a "Love Space" to process some of the ugliness we are experiencing in the world today. The title paraphrases a scripture from the Bible's Book of Acts noting that God does not discriminate; the beauty and ugliness of life is experienced by us all. In her second book of poetry and prose, Brown McManus examines dis-ease in the forms of various disasters of our own doing (toxic RELEASE), as well as invites us to bask in moments of love and justice (BREATHE in hope). Her wish is for her audience to find the encouragement needed to re-connect to their sense of purpose, gain perspective, and revive the necessary courage to move forward.
