Bad Seed, Good Seed deals with bullying and divorce and the horrific affect that both can have on children who have been bullied and children who have gone through a destructive divorce. In this story the judge of the divorce proceedings gives custody of one child to one parent and custody of the second child to the other parent. The parents do not have the means to care for the child in their custody and each places their charge into the same orphanage until such time as each can provide for the child. It is also a story of breaking free of a destructive youth and living a happy, productive life. The younger child does not do well in the orphanage and is removed and placed into the care of a loving maternal great grandmother. The love that the grandmother gives to him in his early years carries him to a life of love, happiness and success. The older brother is left behind and is not removed from the orphanage for quite some time. A deep sense of abandonment, bitterness and entitlement develops in the older brother that affects how he deals with others, including his younger brother, for the rest of his life.
