As I finished writing these poems and began to assemble them to read aloud in the open mic poetry group in my community, as I watched the faces of my audience when I read the poems... It became clear to me that my experiences were important to share with others. That just maybe they could help another person survive. I hope this is not too lofty a goal. I hope it helps.
