As a female who always felt different, even as a child, there was nothing to hold me back from living life to the fullest extent. As an out of control teenage punk rocker, who treated sex and relationships like a guy, I was ripe to do something even more outrageous than playing guitar in a radical punk band. I loved to do drugs, and did just about all of them, more than once, but I was never an addict or hooked on anything besides cigarettes. I loved marijuana deeply however, understanding the endocannabinoidal system way ahead of my time. I knew pot made me feel more connected in a very meaningful way, to my life experiences and in my relationships in general; comfortable in my skin. When one of my best friends became involved with indoor marijuana cultivation, he brought me and my then boyfriend along. We lived in a grow house, taking care of a garageful of plants, before moving on to working with a huge marijuana distribution network with a guy we met through my friend. Eventually, that led to my personally moving at least twenty-two million dollars for one of the largest marijuana distribution networks in the United States. I was also the mistress and integral underling to one of the biggest drug lords in America for a brief but passionate affair, until everything came crashing down. When everyone but me was arrested, I was on the run from the law with warrants out for my arrest for almost a month after my home was searched. Eventually, I had to turn myself into the FBI with a seriously deranged attorney. After initially swearing to myself I would never cooperate with the authorities, being told I was looking at twenty years in prison changed my tune. I went undercover in a major way for the feds in New Jersey and Arizona, working on several important cases and providing substantial cooperation, including wearing a body recorder to a meet in Tucson and taping dozens of calls with the drug lord of our network in Mexico, who was also eventually arrested, in large parts due to my efforts. I also became involved with a real Mafia-type gangster, who fell in love with me and promised to take me into the Witness Protection Program with him. Regardless of all that seemed to be working in my favor to keep me out of prison, destiny is what it is, and when I was finally sentenced by a federal judge, he gave me a forty-two month prison sentence. I went to a minimum security federal work camp in late 1995 and made it a productive time instead of a waste of time. I was released early due to my participation in a 500 hour drug program, which allowed me a year off my time. I was on hardcore probation, supervised release, for three years once released from a hellish halfway house, after I testified in front of a federal grand jury. Once done with all my obligations and fines, I end my story leaving the state of New Jersey and embarking on a new life as I move to Tucson in June of 2001.
