This story of intrigue is based on real events. Rod Burton, a retired police detective, owned the inn at Collana D'Ora, a remote settlement. On a weekend holiday four members of a criminal organisation, the Cartheren Brotherhood, arrived at the inn and hours later one of them was shot dead. Burton was blamed and eventually together with his family, was driven out of the settlement after a reign of terror was exacted on him. Over a year later, Burton and one of his closest friends, was murdered.The resulting police inquiry and inquest turned-up many things. Things governments would want to keep secret.
