Unbalanced Scales

Almost three thousand years ago Be'uath was torn asunder as the Old Gods who created the world abandoned it. Lesser gods took their places, holding together what was left and taking stewardship of the world should the Old Gods return. And now, after three millennia, the world has healed and begun to grow into something new. In this new world a group of adventurers are contracted to seek out ancient relics left over from the world before, seeking knowledge of the past and the promise of fame and fortune that comes with it. But the pieces of a puzzle can be dangerous to assemble when one doesn't know what they make, and soon these adventurers realize the knowledge they seek may hold the power to remake the world as it was, or finish the work of destroying it that started thousands of years ago.
