What motivated me to write this book is to let the world know that child molestation still exists and the secret must come out. I also want to share this with my granddaughter, Melody and every young woman and man that thinks life is a Bed of Roses. I felt like others, that the silence of childhood molestation needs to be told in depth and not fabricated to ease someone's conscious. I want my story to be told because it's a REVOLVING DOOR and something needs to happen, we have to break this cycle of abuse. Teach our youths to love themselves. I want it to be known that just because you were abused as a child doesn't mean you have to be what the abuser expects you to be. A prostitute, an addict, homeless or an alcoholic.I realized that as a child the abuse started with my mother, when we were living in East NY. Inez and the children lived with her boyfriend Davis Hall, he abused her and my brother physically. It took a lot for us to overcome living with a drug addict.We thought we were safe on Cleveland St. Running 20 blocks to escape the terror of being raped over and over. My mother being pregnant left her unable to do the shopping, she would send me with him to do the shopping, UGH, but instead it was his chance to take me to the warehouse.Every woman wants their "first time" to be special. Tell me, does the first time mean swelling of the vagina and soaking for hours in the hottest water. He's watching me constantly, when I'm with my boyfriend he watches us and I can't stand it. Every time I'm in the house he's pulling on my breasts, and laughing about it. Telling John was not hard but embarrassing.RUNNING FOR MY LIFE, that's what I was doing.
