Jack and Anna, still unable to return to their homes on Earth, have learned to cope with their new home in the city of Gargantulua. The winter on Lunia is exceptionally harsh and forces the city to move into the massive underground cavern beneath its foundations. There, it is discovered that a certain cave dweller may have been involved in Jack's past adventures. Whether this cave dweller is up to no good is up for the group to find out. The group soon learns there is more to the cave dweller than they may have ever imagined. Jack discovers a little about his past, and the group discovers they may need to have an open mind as events of the past soon reveal themselves. When they hear that Jack has a protector in their midst, the group dynamic changes. There is much for them all to learn and Gubuyis begins to ponder if a link between the protector's race and Jack exists. It is known that Shamakul, an evil wizard from the Reign of Karakaziem, is making his way along with an army to the city of Gargantulua. Even in the middle of such a harsh winter, Shamakul presses forward. It is up to everyone in the group to use the best of their abilities to protect everything they hold dear. Magical exhaustions, near death situations, a newfound alliance, and perseverance will put the group to the test as they work together to try and keep Shamakul from destroying their city. The Govil series started as a group of related stories the author originally told his children for fun. Eventually, the world of Lunia and all its inhabitants came to be part of one story. Throughout their time on Lunia, Jack and Anna learn of the Reign of Karakaziem, an evil alliance of six wizards that seek control and power over the planet. They will stop at nothing to attain such power. Jack works with the group to develop strategies and plans to overcome their next threat. This book will inspire the creative imagination of its readers as they follow both Jack and Anna on their journeys.
