The Orphaned Ducklings And Other Tales: Stories About Man And Nature

Would you like to learn how what we humans do affects plants and animals? This book of a classic stories-the second in a series first written over 100 years ago-you'll explore how man has treated nature in our modern times. Or should we say mistreated?Among ten stories, there's a look-from a fish's point of view at how the oceans are affected by man's search for food, how man learned to harvest the wind, and how easily a forest can be displaced by a man-caused, creepy-crawly intruder: the heath. These are fascinating 'true to life' nature stories, and Darwin himself would approve!
