It revolves around the evil perpetrated by traditional stool seekers and the succour the king gives to Itale Kingdom amid the tough times orchestrated by such pressure. The sterling qualities exhibited by King Akalor are used to represent the playwright's conception of ideal leadership. She looks more concerned with the cultural conflicts occasioned by the coming of Christianity. King Akalor does not believe in the initiation rites. Instead, he reaffirms his belief in the Christian God and requests to be buried in the Christian way as his death nears.
