True - there are many aspects of the human race that are wonderful, generous, creative and capable of love, but what of the other side? What is darkness of the soul? Where does it come from? How does it reveal itself? If you want poems of love and light, or even dark poems that have happy endings, you won't find them here. These are aspects of the darkness at the heart of mankind as seen through my eyes. (And I'll brook no complaint about my use of 'man' . . . whoever heard of 'personkind?')
