Meredith Good has gotten a strange letter in the mail, with money included upfront. The letter says that she needs to go to Ghostly, Missouri, a town that has made hauntings a tourist destination. Since the sender did not leave their name and address, Meredith feels obliged to at least check it out. Her boyfriend, Kane, and her ghostly friend, Rebecca, join her.
