I was blinded from my own reality by the darkness of my mind, determined to do whatever it took if that meant obeying the commands inside my head. Nothing could stop me, not even the threat of death, until I was willing to admit that I had lost all control over myself to my mental illnesses. Disappearing from a world that continuously tried to save me through medical interventions, it became obvious that the only one who was capable of saving me was myself. I had to make a decision between life or death, but was unsure of whether or not to listen to the thoughts inside my head that told me to just let go or that small glimmer of hope within my heart that wanted me to so badly believe that everything would be okay.
