Merlynn and Marissa Connors say farewell to their mom, Claire Connors as she heads out on a year long honeymoon with her second husband. The sisters are given a once in a lifetime chance to rediscover each other and themselves. Merlynn faces the mystery of the sperm donor of her 2 year old daughter as her sister, Marissa faces her ex-husband that abandoned her when she got pregnant and had her served divorce papers. Together, they face struggles and learn just how strong they truly are as individuals as well as, how strong they are together. They remember what it means to dance in the rain and live in a moment.
