This small book is the result of my desire to keep something of the Western Pennsylvania Mesta family history alive. After my parents' death several years ago, I had the growing conviction that our oral and recorded history was quickly slipping away. I had in my possession a collection of old family pictures, scrapbooks and other written materials-very disorganized, but valuable. It was time to get busy and try to get this all into book form. Here it is. I encourage you to read and contemplate "My Mesta Family Story" and use it as a springboard to help enliven the Mesta history for this and future generations.
