Maria Rosa Agostini was born in Loreto on May 3, 1722 and died there on March 16, 1768 in consideration for sainthood. She was a Tertiary of the Dominican Order and lived with her family who owned a merchant shop in the city, facing the incomplete south section of the west wing of the Apostolic Palace. Her proceedings, whose validity was recognized with a decree by Pope Pius VI on April 16, 1791, were introduced for her Beatification. Her life was narrated by Canonist A. Monachesi, also from Loreto, in chapters and published in the monthly magazine of the Holy Sanctuary "Annals of the Holy House" between 1931-1935. This book was compiled from said annals in memory of Sister Maria Rosa Agostini with the hope of reviving her memory and devotion to her faith and her God.
