Fulfillment, coming out of poverty, of anguish, of the narrowness, of the most severe deprivation, humiliated, slandered, demeaned, the offspring of the Widow came out of what seemed like ruthless, atrocious, and frustrating mud. The Widow, along with her daughters and her son, not only overcame the frustrations that poverty entails, but they also knew that it was possible to overcome it, thanks to their endurance, their strength, their desire to never give up. Education, striving, studying under the gloomy light of a wick lamp made them victorious, but undoubtedly it was God who sustained them, by that invisible thread only reserved for those who dare, the brave, those for whom going backwards was not one of their mottoes. Mamma Clara, from within her pain, knew how to encourage them and I am convinced that she knew in advance that every one of her prayers would be heard in the heavens.
