The Tyrannicide is a novel portraying a historical scene of African cultures, religions and government inflicted with power abuse by tyrants within the clan of Opezia Baitus that formerly enjoyed peace and political stability in her terrain. Efforts by the locals to restore justice and break free from the shackles of oppression proved abortive and Delvit, the domineering chief of the people, aligned with western foreigners to exploit the human and material resources of his people. Wonnieze, a naive teenage boy loses his father in a conspiracy and Delvit strips his mother of her late's husband's compound and properties while he escapes on an exile, leaving his mother behind and Osobong whom he fell in love with against elder Esin who later picked interest on her and sought for her hand in marriage. How would he return and watch over his mother? How would he claim the love of his life again? The Ekpeflu, the chief priest revealed to him that his mission was bigger than his request. For centuries, North Africa had been kidnapping European Christians and non-Christians into slave trade and slavery in Africa. From the 1500's, Europe also began trading slaves in West Africa and trafficking them to labor in the colony plantations of the Americas in a way that economically collapsed Africa to such a pitiable extent that some men and women of different descent from both continent arose as Tyrannicides to fight slave trade and slavery across the world. Wonnieze became the Tyrannicide of his clan upon his return and formed alliance with other African communities to combat the same course of human dehumanisation within his reach.
