Crooked Taylor is a man full of hate, who will stop at nothing and spare no one to bring down his target. Major McCleod is just as determined to bring Crooked- the most wanted man west of the Mississippi- to a grim and brutal justice.

The men leave a trail of hoofprints and victims in the desert behind them as fate escorts them into the frontier town of Aspirations, Texas, whose inhabitants find themselves drawn into the gunfire, and a fight for their lives.
