1:1 Yn y dechreuad creodd Duw y nefoedd a'r ddaear. 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 1:2 A'r ddaear oedd heb ffurf, a gwagleoedd; a thywyllwch oedd ar wyneb y dyfnder. Ac Ysbryd Duw a symudodd ar wyneb y dyfroedd. 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 1:3 A DUW a ddywedodd, Bydded goleuni, a goleuni oedd efe. 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 1:4 A DUW a welodd y goleuni, mai da oedd: a gwahanodd DUW y goleuni oddi wrth y tywyllwch. 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 1:5 A Duw a alwodd y goleuni yn Ddydd, a'r tywyllwch a alwodd efe yn Nos. A'r nos a'r bore oedd y diwrnod cyntaf. 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
