5:1 E, vendo Jesus as multid?es, subiu ao monte; e, tendo-se assentado, aproximaram-se dele os seus disc?pulos.

5:1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

5:2 E, abrindo ele a boca, os ensinava, dizendo:

5:2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

5:3 Bem-aventurados os pobres de esp?rito, porque deles ? o reino dos c?us.

5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

5:4 Bem-aventurados os que choram, porque eles ser?o consolados.

5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5:5 Bem-aventurados os mansos, porque eles herdar?o a terra.

5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

5:6 Bem-aventurados os que t?m fome e sede de justi?a, porque eles ser?o fartos.

5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

5:7 Bem-aventurados os misericordiosos, porque eles alcan?ar?o miseric?rdia.

5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

5:8 Bem-aventurados os limpos de cora??o, porque eles ver?o a Deus.

5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

5:9 Bem-aventurados os pacificadores, porque eles ser?o chamados filhos de Deus.

5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

5:10 Bem-aventurados os que s?o perseguidos por causa da justi?a, porque deles ? o reino dos c?us.

5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

5:11 Bem-aventurados sois v?s, quando vos injuriarem, e perseguirem, e, mentindo, disserem todo mal contra v?s por minha causa.

5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
