Raising Mom

When Jane Farrell's mother, at the age of 96, could no longer cope with living alone, her daughter Jane took her in to live with her. Jane found she was now, in a sense, 'raising' the mother who had raised her and her sister, so many years before. As her mother's health declined, Jane and her sister cared for her increasingly, exercising with her to keep her mobile, playing games, watching planes from the backyard, cooking for her and finally just being there with her as her last hours passed.
