Sinking of the Belgrano remains controversial in some circles, but at ESR the news was greeted by a prolonged silence. As he approaches retirement George is taking tentative steps to visit the Falklands to see the penguins and considering travelling to Argentina to meet Marcelo. Only time will tell if George will realise his dream.
