In his new book Seb Doubinsky does for poetry what baked beans do for the digestive system. He discards all the pretensions of those who believe that poetry should only ever be a form of serious literary expression, and plays with words and concepts to see where they lead. Often witty, often downright funny, often with a serious point locked inside the fun, always clever, the poems in This Little Poem will offer a new perspective to poetry lovers, and surprise and delight those who think poetry is not for them. This book is nothing less than a bravura performance from a writer who never fails to surprise. Seb Doubinsky was born in Paris and spent part of his childhood in the USA, an experience that indelibly marked him for life. He currently lives in Denmark with his wife and children. He writes fluently in both French and English and has published more than a dozen novels that blur the boundaries between literary fiction, science fiction and crime fiction, and a volume of short stories. His poetry has been published around the world to great acclaim and has been collected in at least nine stand-alone volumes. He edits the bi-lingual literary magazine Le Zaporogue, publishes books under his Les Editions du Zaporogue imprint and is at work on at least one new novel.
