Gary Anderson is on dating apps seeking Wife Number Three.

Gary Anderson has specific requirements in terms of choosing the ideal candidate as Wife Number Three after his success with the first two wives, deceased. He uses certain criteria to identify suitable women; older, plain, isolated women with money, for whom he will have no emotional attachment. Lizzie and Angela are prospective candidates.

Eva Brennan is a potential third choice. A young widow with financial resources. For Gary, Eva is a diversion from The Plan as she is young, beautiful, sexy and intelligent. A teacher with a young son, surrounded by loving family and friends.

For Gary to successfully implement The Plan, and move it on, Eva must die. But will Gary become emotionally attached to Eva? Ruthless, cold and motivated by money, will Gary deviate from The Plan to remain with Eva?

Andy Leyton is Eva's neighbour and friend, a detective inspector with the police. Andy is suspicious of Gary and his intentions towards Eva, as Gary is evasive about his past life, and what happened to the first two wives. As Gary starts to assert his authority over Eva and her young son, Andy vows to find out more about Gary Anderson. What he finds is that Gary is a controlling and violent man who will not be stopped from getting what he wants. At least four women have died after association with Gary Anderson. Andy realises that Eva, and her child, are in grave danger and Eva must be deterred from becoming Wife Number Three.
