Mystery at the Minerva Club

It isn't usual for a young man to get an anonymous invitation to dinner at an exclusive club for women, that's why when Jake, a budding young writer, gets one in the mail he can't resist the temptation to attend. But when he arrives at the Minerva Club he finds that five other people, none of whom know each other, have received identical invitations. Who is their mysterious hostess?
