The Old West Suspense series follows the adventures of journalist, Beverly Conners, as she hunts down modern day stories in small town America while also telling the lost tales of the people who lived and died in that same town long ago.

Alpine Glow is a parallel tale masterfully woven between a passionate western mystery and a modern day thriller, both taking place in the same desert town of Alpine, Texas...over 100 years apart.

Beverly Conners, a big time Denver Post journalist, finds herself at a crossroads, personally, professionally, financially and geographically. Newly divorced, unemployed and far from home under the beautiful Texas sky she has to make some tough choices.

Little does Bev know that her decision to work for Alpine's small town newspaper will bring her into the most dangerous, fast breaking news story of her life.

In this small Texas border town Bev searches for the next best story in the desert southwest. Her digging uncovers the town's passionate past filled with violence between rival ranches and competing brothers and also lands her in the middle of a current day arson investigation.

Bev's sleuthing nature eventually leads her down a smoke veiled pathway of murder, destiny, betrayal and love.

Bev could not have predicted that her keen interest in the history of her new western home would give her insight and strength to fight off a modern day madman. Nor could she have known that her unfortunate introduction to Officer Sam Gant would touch her heart as it had never been touched before.

Before she is through, Bev must choose her path, make peace with her own past, catch the perpetrator and have her story...but will she ever get what she truly wants most?
