Eleven-year-old Sheri has been looking forward to summer all year. She will finally get to play unlimited video games and binge read at the local library. Except... her dad has a different idea. At a "family meeting" on the psych unit for her new stepmom, Sheri's dad decides to leave her on the adolescent ward. She's terrified and at first, thinks she has been kidnapped.
