Witch's Medicine

Stephanie Jones, widowed mother of a college freshman and emergency physician at a major trauma center in California is having an average day in the emergency department when two patients arrive at different times with the strangest injuries she has ever seen. One survives while the other doesn't. She is disturbed by the two patients and fears she might have forgotten something in her medical training that would have changed the outcome for the one deceased patient. While digging through her box of medical school texts, she finds a new book at the bottom, different from all the rest.

Lord Warrior Gormon Mialynn is sent by the fae king to recapture the escaped prisoners. With the help of his fellow warriors he rounds up about fifty of them with an additional fifty on the loose. He's drawn to a home in the Sacramento area wherein he finds a woman holding a book from his world. What's more is she can see him despite his invisibility spell.

They decided to combine forces to find the prisoners and treat the humans injured by them. Of the greatest concern is an evil wizard, Ramsey who is one of the prisoners on the loose. He has it within him to destroy many humans as well as fae.
