Leonor Capella is the nom de plume of Isabel Castel?o. Before she retired, Dr. Isabel was a primary care physician in Portugal at two Health Care Centers in Lisbon. For many years, she worked in her physician capacity at the Centers for Disease Control (DGS). She also taught Medical Psychology at the Universidade Nova and was a pro bono yoga instructor for people with medical problems. Dr. Isabel has always complemented her medical career with a multiplicity of cultural interests that she continues to pursue to this day- travel, literature, philosophy, movies, science, and science fiction. She writes poetry, children's short stories, and she loves journaling, mix media, patchwork and photography. She has been on dialysis since 2017. A few years ago, she became fascinated with haiku poetry for its simplicity and immediacy of expression, its focus on natural beauty, and the contemplative richness it brings to self-reflection. This book is the first publication of her haiku poetry.
