When a police detective is injured during an investigation, the department declares him unfit to continue performing his regular field duties. Afraid of the direction his new career path may take, he chooses to leave the department and start his own business as a private investigator. Shortly after establishing his new vocation, a chain of hapless events necessitates him to include his son, who has Down syndrome, in the operations of his new business. After multiple quandaries, he soon discovers that his son is much more capable than he could have ever imagined. However, there are times when a private investigator's work can be very dangerous.
