They soon discovered that she might be the next intended victim. Using herself for bait, she managed to kill the killer before he killed her. This should have been the end of it, but the police could not identify the killer. She kept working on this puzzle, just in case he had a hidden partner. Ultimately, she put all the pieces together. Gale was happy to leave her detective role, including the hairy car chases, constant apprehension and vigilance, behind. Little did she know that soon the kidnapping of her friend, Vidal Noyes, an engineer and inventor at NASA would pull her back into a detective role. At least, in THE NASA CONSPIRACY her own life is not on the line.
