Born in 1974 in Munich, Germany, John-Philip's life has been marked by constant travel, owing to his Brazilian heritage through his mother. Supported by his family, he pursued an acting education in Hollywood, subsequently applying his skills primarily in front of German cameras. For a period, he dedicated himself to painting and took on various jobs before the inspiration for his book struck him. Living a nomadic lifestyle, he rarely settles in one place for an extended period.
