Tree Park is a small town where nothing much happens.

Nothing much except for the women who have gone missing, one after another, year after year. Bodies are found but justice has not been served.

When Claire's roommate, April, goes missing, Claire does not hesitate to do what needs to be done. Drawing on knowledge learned by watching true crime documentaries, she steps in to help April's family and the police. And Detective Heather Byrd has an even more personal reason for wanting to solve this: she believes her sister, Autumn, long thought to have died from suicide, was actually a victim of the same killer.
