This book is based on a true story. The letters are original. Surviving a fire is what was found inside the scrapbook many years later. During WW11 a young girl, Betty Lou Ross from a small logging town New Meadows in West Central Idaho. Betty made an effort to make a difference during this turbulent time in our history.
