Meredith For Congress

When twelve-year-old-Meredith visits her aunt in Washington, D.C., she gets the chance of a lifetime, to volunteer on Capitol Hill for a real, live member of Congress! So when a classic children's book gets banned back home in New York and her new boss refuses to take a stand, justice-loving Meredith launches her own campaign to convince her to change her mind. Lobbying, getting press, even persuading a jazz band to get in on the action, Meredith turns Congress topsy-turvy and learns a thing or two about being in charge, and what it takes to become president.
