Virginia Fights a Bear is a true story of a very brave Great Pyrenees puppy who, along with her brother Rooster, was raised at Horseshoe Ridge Farms. Two older dogs trained Virginia and Rooster to protect a large herd of goats. Virginia and Rooster grew up to be great protectors. One day, Virginia had to put her training to the test. A large black bear entered the pasture and threatened the safety of the herd. Virginia sprang into action and challenged the bear. She was fearless! Hearing the commotion, Rooster and the other dogs came to assist and saved Gin from the ferocious bear. Together, the dogs succeeded in chasing the bear out of the pastures and back into the woods.
