Jake C. Pleasant is a 70 year old Vietnam veteran who loves to ride his Harley to where ever the road takes him. He loves the wind in his face and the peace of mind all of that brings. One day he decided to stop and eat at a local bar and got into a fight with three men where he was shot dead. His body lay dead for 36 hours in the county morgue when he was accidentally chosen by the Cosmic Egg, delivered by a dying alien, and brought back to life. The sensation caused by his return to life brought all the expected attention to him that he did not want. Now aliens and Earthlings are out to kill him and he does not know why. Only his skills from Vietnam have kept him alive but now he is constantly on the run. All he wants is to be left alone but that is not going to happen. They track him and attempt to assassinate him but he thwarts their attempts. He is caught in the middle of an alien war for the domination of Earth. No place to run and no place to hide, peace in his life has become only a dream.
