Yikayla Goode and Waayil Christian have been best friends since the elementary days, never seeing one another as nothing. That is until one night they both confess their feelings for the other, which changes the course of their relationship. The two are excited about what's to come, until a heinous crime committed, rips them apart for seemingly forever. Both feeling like their love can never be rekindled, the two go on with their lives. But what happens when they both get the chance to be together again? Will they abruptly leave the lives they've built separate from one another? Or will they realize that too much time has passed, too much damage is done, and that they were always better off as friends?

Yikayla, along with bougie Dree, ride-or-die Rori, and promiscuous Jonaya make up the beautiful Goode sisters, all with completely different outlooks on life. The one thing they do have in common though, outside of their blood, is their deep yearning for love.
