Hath is a young squad leader who is seeking to run away from the life that has been set for him since his birth, that of an ordinary farmer. Grasping at any rope that comes his way in order to pull himself away from the man that his father would like him to become, Hath joins the military might of the Taruvian army in his hopes of seeking glory. However, it does not take long for him to realize that the life that he had chosen for himself could not have been further from his expectations. Yet, as he continues on, the mundane nature of his work is thrown aside when his men happen across a stranger who has somehow managed to find their way across the Wastes and into the land of Taru.
