Although Joseph White regularly attended his Christian church, he was a skeptical believer who openly questioned most Biblical and theological teachings. During the 89th year of his life, however, things would change dramatically for him following an unexpected dreamlike visit from persons whose stated purpose was to prepare him for an important personal journey he would soon embark on. That awareness interfered with Adin's ability to guide Joe, and another guide, "Emerson," was substituted to continue Joe's spiritual tutelage. Although Joe worked well with Emerson, several of his questions were unanswered, including: What was behind Adin's mystery? Why exactly did he have to leave Joe? What surprises lay in store for Joe when he entered the Heaven community? Thankfully, Joe eventually found answers to all his questions during and after his passage to Paradise.
