It is while she is in this confusing no-man's land, she meets the ghost of Mrs Humphries murdered mother-in-law, Lady Ann, who needs her help. Can she put things right without changing history? With the help of her newfound friends, Veronica endeavours to do just that, whilst her own life hangs in the balance back in her own time.
