Exsanguination

Exsanguination: The action of draining a person, animal, or organ of blood. For many centuries, Vampires have remained below the radar, effectively becoming a society within a society. The world had become a comfortable environment for them. Few gave much thought to the technological advancements occurring around them until a video went viral on the internet and a body, drained of blood, was discovered. The subculture suddenly found itself at risk as threads of paranoia pervaded the human population and the police became very interested in what had happened. They had a body with puncture marks on its throat and video of an individual with long fangs and glowing red eyes looking up at the camera. A clash of civilizations was about to occur. One vampire realized that technology could work both ways and might be exploited for their protection. No matter what the future held, this time, vampires would not go gently into that good night. They would do much more than merely survive.
