Biblical Resilience

Biblical Resilience provides a Bible study on how to build resilience in a time of crisis. The book begins with a discussion of the "Enemies of Resilience." These characteristics will disrupt our ability to be resilient, either by distorting how we see our choices or by limiting our ability to bounce back in a time of crisis. Often these are emotional responses that hold us back from being successful. Dealing with these enemies of resilience prepares us to better deal with a future crisis. The second section of this book looks at some of the underlying beliefs that build resilience. If we believe that resilience can be learned, we must consider, what are the things we need to learn to be resilient? Resilience requires wisdom in our decision making, supportive relationships, and the ability to effect change in our own lives. These chapters will take you through the beliefs that build greater resilience and put us in a better position to recover from traumatic events.
