The 'Evil Within' is the back-story of the Tears of a God series. This is the full story that Ishma, Witch and Seer, only outlined to Cal while she was healing him in the Great Forest before he reached the upper land. A thousand years of peace and prosperity, known as the Golden Age, was torn to shreds when High Lord Malphas fell to the evil within and turned his scheming, murderous mind on his gentle, peace-loving brothers.
